Below is a picture of the right side with 1800 disc brake axle and rear springs. The panhard bar was lowered to fit. Rear bracket attached to the axle at the cover bolts in the rear and to the "web" at the front.
Below is overall view. Below is the front view of the axle and the attachment to the "web". This also show the Torque bar and it is attached in the front with a simple heim joint bolted through the tunnel to the driver side (reinforcing plate is welded in place). The is an early 444 without the torque bar brackets under the rear seat as all 544 are designed. A bracket can be fabricated to attach to the existing bracket in the body of the 544. Below is the tire clearance with ES axle and springs.
